Master’s Thesis at the University of Basrah Explores the Role of Folic Acid and Nano NPK Fertilizer in Enhancing Salt Tolerance and Growth of Henna Plants
A master’s thesis at the College of Education in Qurna at the University of Basrah investigated the effects of folic acid and nano-formulated NPK fertilizer on supporting the salt tolerance, growth, and bioactive compound production of the henna plant (Lawsonia inermis L).
The thesis, submitted by Fatima Hamid Ati, examined how folic acid and nano-fertilizer applications enhance the plant’s ability to withstand salinity stress, with particular emphasis on their impact on plant growth and the development of key bioactive compounds.
The study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of these supplements in improving the plant’s resilience to saline conditions and in enhancing its chemical composition, thereby increasing the effectiveness of its bioactive compounds and contributing to the plant’s quality and economic and industrial value.
