University of Basrah Hosts Meeting of the Deans’ Committee of Colleges of Administration and Economics in Iraqi Universities
The University of Basrah hosted a meeting of the Deans’ Committee of Colleges of Administration and Economics (Administrative and Economic Sciences Specializations) in Iraqi universities. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Abdulhussein Tawfiq Shibli, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah and Head of the Deans’ Committee of Administrative and Economic Sciences Specializations, with the participation of deans from counterpart colleges across Iraqi universities.
The delegations of deans were received by the President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem Al-Asadi, who opened the session and welcomed the attendees to the University. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of these academic specializations and the significant responsibility entrusted to the Committee.
The University President presented certificates of appreciation to the deans, while Dr. Shibli, on behalf of the Committee members, awarded the Shield of Loyalty to the University President.
The meeting discussed several academic and administrative issues related to the development of the educational process, the unification of procedures concerning standardized evaluative examinations, and the strengthening of academic coordination among Colleges of Administration and Economics, in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
This meeting comes as part of efforts to support joint institutional work and advance the quality of university education in the fields of administrative and economic sciences.
