University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on Violent Extremism and its Societal Impacts
The Cultural Center at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the College of Education for Women and the Department of Women's Affairs, organized a scientific seminar on violent extremism and its societal impacts. The seminar was attended by a select group of academics, interested individuals, and students.
The seminar aimed to enhance intellectual and social awareness, instill the values of moderation, and build a more conscious society capable of confronting intellectual challenges.
The seminar included the presentation of two research papers that addressed strategies for combating violent extremism, methods of prevention and intervention, as well as decision-making processes and how to develop critical thinking and sound decision-making skills.
