University of Basrah Organizes Cultural Symposium on the Muwashshah
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a cultural symposium on the muwashshah and the Arabic poem.
The symposium included the presentation of several research papers in which researchers explored the origins of the muwashshah and the relationship of the Levant and Andalusia to this art form.
The symposium concluded with students performing muwashshahs accompanied by music.
