University of Basrah Organizes Lecture on Initialization Strategies in Intelligent Optimization Algorithms
The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture entitled “Initialization Strategies of the Initial Population in Intelligent Optimization Algorithms: A Comparative Analytical Study.”
The lecture aimed to emphasize the importance of the initialization phase in optimization algorithms and to demonstrate its impact on convergence speed, diversity enhancement, and result stability. It also reviewed the most prominent contemporary approaches adopted in this field.
Delivered by researcher Zainab Ubaid Falah, the lecture provided a detailed explanation of various initialization strategies, accompanied by a comparative analysis of their performance across different environments and problem domains, as well as an overview of related future research trends.
