The Center for Development and Continuing Education at University of Basrah organized a lecture on research methodology as part of the eighth unit of the Sixth Teaching Methods Course within the humanities specialization. The lecture forms part of the updated Teaching Methods curriculum adopted for the southern region. It aimed to explain the proper scientific standards for organizing and conducting academic research, as well as to introduce research methodology and the steps involved in academic writing.
The lecture, delivered by lecturer Tharaa Abdulrasool Hassan, addressed the concept of scientific research, types of research methodologies, scientific research standards, and the stages of research writing.
The lecture recommended the continuation of training courses on research methodology for academic staff and higher education instructors in accordance with their professional needs, while emphasizing the importance of continuous scholarly effort and the enrichment of knowledge in line with scientific developments.
