The College of Agriculture at University of Basrah participated in the activities of the Fourth Entrepreneurship Forum, hosted in Basrah Governorate under the theme “Green and Blue Economy: Entrepreneurship Pathways toward the Future.” The participation was organized through joint coordination between the University of Basrah and the National Investment Commission, in strategic partnership with international and national organizations.
Faculty members from the College of Agriculture contributed to workshops entitled “The Future of Entrepreneurship in Iraq,” during which applications of the green economy were presented as a tool for achieving sustainable development, alongside discussions on transforming current environmental challenges into promising investment opportunities.
The sessions also focused on the concept of the blue economy and the importance of strengthening Iraq’s regional role in the sustainability and protection of water resources, in addition to presenting several innovative projects designed for implementation within the local environment.
At the conclusion of the forum, speakers and participants from the College of Agriculture, along with supporting institutions, were honored with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their contributions to promoting the principles of sustainable economy.
