University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on the Ethics of Dealing with Clients
The Marine Science Center at the University of Basrah organized an awareness seminar entitled "Principles and Ethics of Dealing with Clients in Government Departments," which was held at the General Company for Electricity Distribution in the South.
The seminar aimed to promote positive professional conduct and improve the level of services provided in government departments.
The seminar, presented by faculty member Zainab Fadhil Al-Tamimi, covered several topics. The first focused on explaining the concept and principles of dealing with clients through respect, equality, and treating everyone without discrimination. It emphasized listening attentively and understanding their needs, as well as practicing active listening skills and asking questions to accurately, transparently, and credibly determine the required service. The lecture also focused on professional ethics, including the values and principles that public employees should possess, emphasizing integrity, honesty, and complete confidentiality of clients' data. Furthermore, it addressed effective communication skills, managing work pressures and challenges, and finding solutions.
