Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Explores Lexical Relationships Across Parts of Speech
A master's thesis at the College of Arts, University of Basra, explored the semantic relationships of lexical relationships in D.H. Lawrence's novel "Women in Love."
The thesis, submitted by student Zahraa Abather Fadhil, aimed to reveal how vocabulary interacts within the text and highlight the role of each grammatical category in constructing meaning and expanding contextual significance.
The thesis comprised four chapters in which the student discussed the dimensions of semantic relationships in the literary text through an analysis of patterns across the three parts of speech: nouns, verbs, and adjectives.
