University of Basrah Holds a Lecture on Research Methodology for the Applied Specialization
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah organized a lecture on research methodology as part of the eighth unit of the Applied Specialization within the Sixth Teaching Methods Course.
The lecture aimed to introduce participants to the significance of scientific research and the stages involved in establishing an effective research team.
Delivered by Dr. Hassan Saad Shalak, the lecture covered the scientific foundations for building a cohesive and high-performing research team, the characteristics of Tuckman’s stages of group development, and the successive stages of team formation leading to a successful research group. It also addressed the hierarchical structure of a research team, key considerations in selecting a research supervisor, effective approaches to engaging with a supervisor, and the essential ethical standards that a scientific researcher must uphold.
