University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on Intellectual Extremism
The College of Administration and Economics, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, organized a scientific seminar entitled “Intellectual Extremism and Its Impact on the Individual and Society.”
The seminar aimed to highlight the dangers of extremism and its negative repercussions on intellectual security and social stability, as well as to underscore the importance of fostering the values of tolerance and moderation within the university environment.
The seminar, delivered by Dr. Baidaa Riyadh and lecturer Murtadha Kazem, addressed the role of religious values in rejecting extremism and promoting social cohesion.
The seminar concluded with recommendations to intensify awareness programs and to activate the role of students in disseminating a culture of moderation, recognizing them as future leaders.
