University of Basrah Organizes Festival on Peaceful Coexistence
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a festival entitled "No to Extremism, Yes to Coexistence and Development."
The festival aimed to raise awareness among attendees about the concept of extremism and its various forms, ways to reject it, and mechanisms for liberation from rigid and intolerant ideologies and negative perspectives.
The festival included an awareness lecture presented by instructors Jinan Abdulkhader and Bushra Faleh, who addressed the definition of extremism, its types, and its rejection, while also analyzing the psychological and social roots of adopting such views.
The festival concluded by considering extremism an intellectual challenge fueled by digital media, emphasizing that awareness and continuous outreach activities are the most effective ways to eradicate this scourge and protect future generations from its dangers.
