University of Basrah Discusses Strategic Agricultural Projects with the Governorate in Cooperation with Eni
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah held a meeting with the First Deputy Governor of Basra and representatives of Eni to discuss the implementation of strategic agricultural projects to mitigate the effects of climate change.
The meeting addressed environmental challenges such as rising temperatures, soil salinity, and water scarcity, based on reports from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The College presented its research capabilities and plans for implementing climate-smart agriculture, in line with the United Nations' directives, to enhance food security and sustainable development in the governorate.
