University of Basrah Organizes Awareness Campaign to Combat Violent Extremism
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized an awareness campaign to combat violent extremism, stemming from its academic and community role in consolidating human values and promoting social peace.
The campaign aimed to reject manifestations of extremism, promote a culture of coexistence and tolerance, and raise awareness of the dangers of violence and its impact on destabilizing society.
The campaign included field visits to the Garmat Ali site, where organizing teams distributed posters and informational brochures designed in a modern style. These materials carried clear messages calling for brotherhood and social responsibility, and emphasizing the importance of individual awareness in protecting society from being drawn into ideological and behavioral conflicts.
