Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Investigates the Role of Ground Beetles in Bioaccumulation
A master's thesis at the College of Science, University of Basrah, investigated an environmental survey of ground beetles and their ability to accumulate heavy metals in Basra Governorate.
The thesis, submitted by student Ghadeer Saad Nasser, aimed to identify ground beetles in the governorate, assess their capacity to accumulate heavy metals, and determine the impact of environmental factors on bioaccumulation rates.
The thesis comprised four chapters in which the student discussed the environmental survey conducted at four stations, laboratory tests to measure heavy metal levels, soil analysis, and sample identification using established classification keys.
