The thesis, submitted by student Zainab Atif Abdul-Halim, aimed to assess the current state of fish communities and their relationship to the physical and chemical characteristics of the Shatt al-Arab waters.
The thesis comprised four chapters, during which the student discussed a study of three stations: Al-Qurna, Al-Deir, and Al-Haritha, relying on biodiversity indicators and Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques.
