To Support Innovation and Project Development… University of Basrah Holds First Industrial Advisory Council Meeting
The University of Basrah held its inaugural meeting of the Industrial Advisory Council in Basrah, attended by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Haider Khazal Mahbis, along with members of the University Council.
In his opening remarks, the University President, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem Al-Asadi, stated:
“The establishment of this council represents an important step toward strengthening partnership between the university, state institutions, and the industrial sector. We firmly believe that sustainable development can only be achieved through integrated efforts and the exchange of expertise between academic and executive institutions.”
He added:
“Through this council, we aspire to build effective bridges of cooperation that connect educational outcomes with labor market needs, support innovation, and develop industrial projects in ways that enhance the local economy and serve our community.”
He further emphasized that the council’s success depends on the active engagement of participating institutions, the sharing of their practical expertise, and the mobilization of the university’s research capabilities to support provincial institutions and achieve shared development goals.
