University of Basrah Hosts Scientific Symposium on Medicinal Herbs and Their Role in Supporting Women’s Health
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a scientific symposium titled “Smart Herbs for the Modern Woman’s Health,” with the participation of several faculty members, students, and individuals interested in health matters.
The symposium aimed to highlight the importance of medicinal plants in supporting women’s health from physical, psychological, and cosmetic perspectives, while emphasizing their historical roots and the development of their use in light of modern scientific research.
The event demonstrated that many herbs contain bioactive compounds that help regulate hormonal balance and boost immunity. It also reviewed their applications in skin and hair care, stressing the importance of conscious usage and consulting specialists before relying on them.
