Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Investigates the Estimation of the Reliability Function for a Stress-Stiffness System
A master's thesis at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Basrah, investigated the estimation of the reliability function for a stress-stiffness system using robust methods.
The thesis, submitted by student Zahraa Nasser Sari, aimed to study a stress-stiffness model using a cascade system, employing the Weibull distribution for stiffness and the Fréchet distribution for stress, particularly in cases of outliers and extreme values in the data, and to demonstrate their impact on the accuracy of the estimation.
The thesis included a practical application using data from the linear accelerator at the Basrah Oncology Center.
The study concluded that using robust methods contributes to improving the accuracy of the estimation and providing more realistic results for system reliability.
