University of Basrah Hosts Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation
The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah organized an introductory seminar hosting a delegation from the Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation, attended by a number of faculty members, staff, and students, as part of efforts to strengthen community cooperation and promote the values of humanitarian solidarity.
The seminar aimed to introduce the college’s academic and administrative staff to the foundation’s mechanisms of work and areas of support, while opening prospects for future cooperation in implementing joint humanitarian initiatives.
A representative of the foundation delivered an introductory presentation outlining the nature of its activities, explaining that the institution operates under the supervision and blessing of Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani, the Supreme Religious Authority, and is dedicated to supporting and caring for orphans, widows, displaced persons, the sick, and the wounded.
The seminar also featured a presentation on a rehabilitation program described as the first of its kind in Iraq, designed to prepare and empower orphans academically and professionally, contributing to their effective integration into society and enabling them to build stable futures.
