Master’s Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines Fear of Affection and Its Relationship with Self-Protection
A master’s thesis at the College of Education for Human Sciences, University of Basrah, examined “Fear of Affection and Its Relationship with Self-Protection among Orphaned Secondary School Students.”
The thesis, submitted by student Duaa Adnan Mohsen, aimed to identify the level of fear of affection and examine differences within the research sample according to the gender variable (male and female). It also investigated the level of self-protection, gender differences in self-protection, and the strength and direction of the relationship between fear of affection and self-protection.
The study found statistically significant differences between the sample mean and the hypothetical mean of the fear of affection scale at a significance level of (0.05), in favor of the research sample. It also revealed statistically significant differences in fear of affection according to the gender variable, in favor of males.
