A Master’s Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines the Weight Distribution over a Galois Field

A master’s thesis at the College of Science, University of Basrah, examined the weight distribution of (k,3) codes over a Galois field of order seven.

The thesis, submitted by the student Karrar Abbas Atiyah, aimed to classify (k,3)-caps in the four-dimensional projective space.

The thesis consisted of four chapters in which the student discussed the identification of caps with favorable combinatorial properties that produced linear codes of dimension 5 with large minimum distances.
