University of Basrah Organizes Tree Planting Campaign to Expand Green Spaces
The Cultural Center at the University of Basrah organized a tree planting campaign to expand green spaces, as part of its efforts to promote environmental awareness and contribute to improving the aesthetic and environmental landscape of the community.
The campaign included cleaning and rehabilitating land and planting trees and plants suitable for the local environment, which will contribute to increasing green areas and improving air quality.
Dr. Nizar Abdul-Muhsin Jaafar, Director of the Cultural Center, stated that this initiative is part of a series of activities implemented by the Cultural Center to support environmental sustainability and establish a culture of volunteer work and social responsibility, noting the importance of cooperation between institutions and individuals to preserve the university environment.
