University of Basrah Organizes Scientific Seminar on Plaque-Targeted Dental Implant Cleaning Technique
The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah organized a specialized scientific seminar entitled “Plaque-Targeted Dental Implant Cleaning Technique.”
The seminar, presented by Dr. Hassanein Ali Mohsen Al-Naml, addressed the latest protocols adopted in the field of dental implant care. The faculty member reviewed a modern technique that focuses on the precise removal of bacterial biofilms using a special dye to detect and stain the bacteria, allowing for clear identification before the cleaning process begins.
The faculty member pointed out that this technique utilizes the AirFlow device, which operates using compressed air and water with a fine powder. This advanced alternative to traditional manual scaling methods is characterized by its precision and safety in cleaning teeth and implants without causing damage to gum tissue.
