University of Basrah Holds Awareness Workshop on Rabies and Methods of Prevention
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah held a scientific awareness workshop entitled "Rabies: Identification, Prevention, and Control."
The workshop aimed to enhance participants' health awareness of the dangers of this disease.
The workshop, presented by lecturer Sarah Salem Mohammed, covered the definition of rabies, its transmission methods, symptoms, and prevention mechanisms.
It also highlighted the importance of handling infected animals with caution and methods for controlling the spread of the disease through appropriate preventive measures.
The faculty member emphasized the necessity of taking the necessary health precautions and strengthening cooperation among relevant institutions to limit the spread of this dangerous infectious disease, as it poses a direct threat to human life.
