University of Basrah Discusses PhD Dissertation on Advanced Fractional Scatter Models
The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah discussed a PhD dissertation that addressed the Petrov-Kalerkin least-squares method for solving fractional scatter models.
The dissertation, presented by researcher Sarah Qasim Jumaa, aimed to develop an effective numerical framework to address the limitations related to accuracy and computational cost in traditional methods.
The study relied on integrating the least-squares method with the Petrov-Kalerkin method using Laguerre polynomials and Shpishef functions.
It also addressed the application of the Caputo-Fabrizo derivative in temporal and spatial models.
The results showed a clear improvement in accuracy and performance efficiency, supported by a theoretical analysis of solution convergence and error estimation.
