University of Basrah Discusses Master's Thesis on Decentralized Key Management
The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah discussed a master's thesis on a blockchain-based scheme for distributing key management.
The thesis, presented by researcher Sarah Ya'rub Abdul-Ridha, aimed to develop a decentralized mechanism to address the problems of traditional systems, such as weak security and vulnerability to attacks. The study relied on storing keys within blockchain transactions to ensure transparency and prevent tampering.
It included the use of advanced encryption techniques, including elliptic curve encryption, to enhance data confidentiality and integrity. The results demonstrated the efficiency of the proposed protocol in countering threats such as identity theft and replay attacks, while also improving scalability and performance.
