University of Basrah Holds Workshop on Spatial Analysis
The College of Education for Women at the University of Basrah organized a workshop entitled “Spatial Analysis of Educational and Healthcare Services in Al-Hartha City.”
The workshop aimed to provide a realistic overview of the spatial distribution of educational and healthcare services in Al-Hartha, based on a set of human factors that have contributed to disparities in the allocation of these services across the city’s neighborhoods in 2025.
The workshop featured a lecture delivered by Dr. Murtadha Muzaffar Sahr, who discussed the current state of spatial distribution of educational and healthcare institutions in urban areas. He also highlighted the importance of utilizing modern geographic technologies to support planning processes and to determine the most suitable locations for such services in the future.
