University of Basrah Organizes a Specialized Scientific Workshop on Clinical Bacterial Isolation
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah held a scientific workshop entitled "Bacterial Isolation from Clinical Samples in Medical Laboratories," with the participation of a number of specialists and interested individuals.
The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the basic techniques for isolating and identifying bacteria using standard microbiological methods, and to develop their skills in identifying bacterial species and accurately interpreting results to support clinical diagnosis.
The workshop, presented by Dr. Khulood Abdul-karim Hussein, covered several topics, including methods for collecting and transporting samples, applying culture and isolation techniques, and training in interpreting laboratory results while adhering to biosafety procedures and ensuring quality of work within medical laboratories.
