University of Basrah Conducts Teaching Competency Test for Applied Sciences
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah has conducted a teaching competency test for applied sciences, with the participation of a number of academic staff seeking to fulfill the requirements for engaging in academic practice.
The test aimed to assess the candidates’ proficiency in both scientific and pedagogical aspects, as well as to evaluate their ability to deliver academic content using modern teaching methods aligned with university education standards.
The examination included both theoretical and practical components, focusing on teaching skills and lecture planning.
The Director of the Center, Dr. Mustafa Abdul Redha Kazem, emphasized that such assessments contribute to enhancing the capabilities of academic staff and improving their professional competence.
This initiative comes as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to promote the quality of education and achieve distinguished academic outcomes.
