The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah organized a scientific workshop entitled “Pathogenic Microbes and the Silent Nature of Shared Reproductive Infections Between Spouses: A Hidden Threat to Women’s Health.”
The workshop aimed to highlight the role of pathogenic microorganisms in causing shared reproductive infections, shedding light on their often asymptomatic nature, modes of transmission, and their impact on women’s health.
Delivered by Dr. Khulood Abdulkarim Hussein, the workshop included an overview of key diagnostic and preventive approaches, as well as an emphasis on the importance of health awareness in reducing the spread of such infections and their complications. This, in turn, contributes to strengthening public health and promoting early prevention.
