The University of Basrah Holds a Seminar on Veterinary Care for Domestic Animals
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah held a scientific seminar entitled “Animal Sterilization: Procedures, Risks, and Benefits.”
The seminar aimed to enhance the academic knowledge of faculty members specializing in surgery and obstetrics, as well as to elevate the scientific level of the college’s students and staff.
The seminar addressed key topics related to animal sterilization, including the surgical techniques employed, in addition to reviewing the main benefits and potential complications associated with these procedures. It also emphasized their importance in animal health management and population control.
The seminar concluded with recommendations underscoring the necessity of sterilizing domestic animals due to its positive impact on their health and growth, as well as its role in promoting calmer behavior and reducing the likelihood of escape or roaming outside the home.
