Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines Marine Insurance and its Relationship to Maritime Risk Management
A master's thesis at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Basrah, examined the role of marine insurance as a moderating variable in the relationship between proactive leadership and maritime risk reduction strategies. The study was conducted at the General Company for Iraqi Ports.
The thesis, presented by student Ali Saadi Taher, aimed to enhance the company's ability to manage risks by analyzing the contribution of proactive leadership to the adoption of effective strategies and demonstrating the role of insurance in supporting this relationship.
The study employed a descriptive-analytical methodology using questionnaires and specialized statistical software.
It recommended integrating marine insurance into risk management policies and enhancing leadership awareness to support institutional sustainability.
