University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Environmental Changes in the Shatt al-Arab River
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on environmental changes in the Shatt al-Arab River and the most prominent changes affecting its environment.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the changes impacting the Shatt al-Arab's environment, as well as to present several scientific proposals for addressing the pollution and salinity problems plaguing the river.
The workshop included the presentation of several research papers in which researchers discussed the need for regular monitoring of the Shatt al-Arab's environment by relevant authorities, in addition to intensifying scientific studies and research to analyze these changes and determine their environmental repercussions.
