A master’s thesis at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Basrah, examined the impact of Total Quality Management (TQM) on the logistics performance of Iraqi ports, with information technology adopted as a moderating variable, through an exploratory study conducted at Umm Qasr Port.
The thesis, submitted by the student Salam Mohammed Khalaf, aimed to enhance the efficiency of transportation, storage, loading and unloading, customs clearance, and maritime pilotage operations. It also emphasized the significance of Iraqi ports—particularly Umm Qasr Port—in supporting the national economy.
