Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Investigates the Effect of Nitrogen Fertilization on Okra
A master's thesis at the College of Agriculture, University of Basrah, investigated the effect of the level and method of nitrogen fertilizer application on certain growth characteristics of okra plants under surface and subsurface drip irrigation systems.
The study, presented by researcher Karam Jaafar Sadiq, aimed to analyze the plant's response to different fertilization levels and application methods, comparing the effects of the two irrigation systems on vegetative characteristics and yield. The results showed significant differences depending on the application level, method, and type of irrigation used.
The thesis recommended adopting the most efficient level and method, and selecting the most suitable irrigation system to improve productivity and increase water use efficiency.
