The University of Basrah Organizes a Specialized Training Course on Modern Accounting and Auditing
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah organized a specialized training course entitled “Accounting and Auditing,” with the participation of a number of individuals seeking to enhance their professional skills in this field.
The course aimed to enable participants to understand contemporary accounting and auditing practices, as well as to become familiar with the modern procedures adopted within this discipline.
The course, delivered by Dr. Ali Majid Hadi, covered two main themes. The first addressed the conceptual framework of accounting, including the preparation of final accounts and financial statements. The second focused on the evolution of auditing as a discipline, its modern concepts, objectives, and stages, while also clarifying the differences between internal and external auditing, and distinguishing between accounting and auditing in a way that enhances professional performance efficiency.
