The University of Basrah Conducts an Evacuation Simulation Exercise for Emergency Situations
As part of efforts to تعزيز safety standards and in alignment with program accreditation requirements and quality assurance criteria, the Quality Assurance Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Basrah, organized a comprehensive evacuation simulation for the college building.
The exercise commenced with the sounding of alarm sirens at exactly 10:00 a.m., prompting all college members—including students, academic staff, and employees—to respond promptly and proceed to the designated assembly points outside the building, following posted signage and approved evacuation routes in accordance with civil defense protocols.
The exercise aimed to ensure the safety of staff and students while assessing preparedness in handling emergency situations.
The drill was successfully completed, with all performance observations documented and areas for improvement identified for in-depth review and the development of effective solutions, thereby ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality in the future.
