A Faculty Member at the University of Basrah Publishes Research in a Reputable International Journal

A faculty member at the Marine Science Center of the University of Basrah, Dr. Abdulzahra Abdulrasool Al-Hilu, has published a joint scientific research paper with a group of researchers entitled “Current and projected impacts of climate change on Arabian Gulf sea level rise.”

The study was published in Advances in Space Research (ASR), an internationally recognized journal classified within the first quartile (Q1) with an impact factor of 2.8. The journal is issued by a global publishing house based in the Netherlands and specializes in publishing high-quality research in meteorology and atmospheric sciences.

The research addressed the impacts of sea level rise on the Iraqi coastline, with a particular focus on the Al-Faw district in southern Iraq.
