The Natural History Museum at the University of Basrah received students from Al-Hartha Secondary School for Outstanding Students, accompanied by their teaching staff, on a scientific visit aimed at developing students’ skills and enhancing their knowledge in the fields of biological and environmental sciences.
The visit sought to familiarize students with the importance of biodiversity and the role of scientific museums in preserving and documenting it, as well as linking theoretical knowledge from academic lessons with practical applications inside the museum halls.
The students toured the various sections of the museum, where they viewed a wide range of exhibits, including taxidermy specimens, skeletal structures, and environmental models. They also listened to scientific explanations provided by the museum staff, which contributed to enhancing their understanding of scientific concepts in an interactive manner.
