University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Community Discourse
The College of Education for Women at the University of Basrah organized a workshop titled “Community Discourse and Its Impact on Reinforcing and Reducing Violence.”
The workshop aimed to highlight the role of community discourse and social institutions in reducing violence and promoting positive behaviors to limit its spread.
The workshop featured several research papers in which participants discussed the concept of community discourse, its influence in either reinforcing or reducing violence, and approaches to mitigating violent behavior. The sessions also examined the role of community institutions in addressing the issue, alongside interactive discussions that encouraged students to share their perspectives on the phenomenon.
