Master’s Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines Banking Technologies and Financial Performance
A master’s thesis at the University of Basrah examined the relationship between banking technologies and financial performance in the Iraqi banking sector.
The thesis, presented by student Naba Sami Abdul Ali, aimed to measure the impact of banking technologies on financial performance using the Theil–Sen method, while forecasting future trends through the Holt predictive model.
The study included an analysis of financial and field data collected from Iraqi banks during the period 2017–2024, employing advanced statistical models.
The findings indicated a statistically significant positive impact on return on assets (ROA) and short-term liquidity coverage ratio (LCR).
The thesis recommended strengthening digital transformation, developing infrastructure, and conducting further supportive studies in the field.
