University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Freelancing
The Ibn Sina Center for E-Learning at the University of Basrah, in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering, organized a workshop titled “Freelancing: An Opportunity for Women in the Digital Economy,” with the participation of academics and researchers.
The workshop aimed to present the skills required to enter e-commerce and digital marketing, as well as ways of utilizing artificial intelligence in freelancing practices.
The session, delivered by Dr. Adee Basheer Issa, introduced participants to the concept of the digital economy and its modern technologies, with particular emphasis on supporting women in entrepreneurial projects and investment opportunities across suitable economic sectors. It also addressed methods for overcoming challenges related to the digital economy, including platforms and infrastructure within this field.
