Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines the Impact of Oil Revenues on Bank Liquidity
A master's thesis at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Basrah, examined the impact of oil revenues on the liquidity of a sample of banks listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange for the period 2014–2023.
The thesis, submitted by student Mayameen Majid Jawad, aimed to analyze the relationship between fluctuations in oil revenues and levels of bank liquidity through an applied study that included seven banks.
The thesis included an analysis of liquidity indicators and tracking their trends over time, along with a comparison of bank performance and an explanation of the variation in their responses to economic variables.
The results concluded that there was relative instability in performance and a weak, consistent direct impact between the two variables.
