The University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on Rumors and Their Impact on Local Markets
The College of Administration and Economics, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, organized a scientific seminar on rumors and their impact on local markets, with the participation of faculty members and interested attendees.
The seminar aimed to familiarize participants with the concept of rumors, methods for verifying unreliable information, and the influence of misinformation on individual and societal behavior.
Delivered by lecturer Raed Abdul Fahd, the seminar examined the negative economic effects of rumors, including market instability, rising prices, and shortages of goods.
The seminar emphasized the importance of media awareness in reducing the spread of false information and promoting economic stability.
