University of Basrah Organizes Scientific Seminar on External Auditing and its Challenges
The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah organized a scientific seminar entitled "External Auditing: Observations and Conclusions from the Field," with the participation of a select group of academics and specialists.
The seminar aimed to focus on the current state of external auditing and the challenges it faces, and to clarify its relationship to internal auditing and its role in enhancing the efficiency of accounting and oversight processes.
The seminar, which featured presentations by a number of faculty members and experts, included a discussion of the role of auditing in the public and private sectors, and the importance of its integration with internal auditing.
It highlighted the most prominent challenges, including inflated spending in the public sector and weak accounting compliance in the private sector.
