The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on balancing freedom of belief and the requirements of university neutrality within legal and humanitarian frameworks.
The workshop aimed to introduce the legal and humanitarian frameworks for freedom of belief and the mechanisms for achieving a balance between them and the necessity of maintaining a neutral university environment that respects diversity and ensures academic harmony.
The workshop included a lecture presented by Professor Hussein Jassim Shatati, who highlighted the university's efforts in consolidating human rights principles and disseminating legal and humanitarian awareness among students and staff, contributing to building a university environment based on respect and pluralism.
