A Master’s Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines a Self-Regulating Photovoltaic Solar Energy System
A master’s thesis at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah, investigated an intelligent self-regulating photovoltaic solar energy system using Polymer-Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC) technology.
The thesis, presented by student Naba Talib Abdul Nabi, aimed to design and develop an adaptive intelligent control system for regulating solar radiation through the use of smart films made from polymer-dispersed liquid crystals.
The thesis consisted of four chapters in which the researcher examined the application of liquid crystal technologies in diagnosing faults associated with solar cells and accurately identifying their locations, in addition to integrating these technologies with machine learning algorithms for system monitoring and management.
