University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on Nano-Catastrophes for Diesel Production
The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on nano-catalysts for producing biodiesel from oils extracted from the seeds of certain plants.
The workshop aimed to improve the efficiency of biodiesel production using advanced catalysts such as nano-catalysts, leading to increased conversion rates and improved fuel properties.
The workshop included a lecture presented by Fatima Abdul-Hakim Khalid, a faculty member at the college. During the lecture, she discussed the pollution caused by conventional diesel and the use of clean and sustainable alternatives, particularly biofuels. She also covered the main types of biodiesel, its advantages, production stages, and the key factors affecting the production process.
