The University of Basrah Organizes a Cultural Festival on the Occasion of Its 62nd Anniversary
The Central Library Secretariat at the University of Basrah organized its second cultural festival under the theme “Our Heritage, Our Identity” in celebration of the university’s sixty-second anniversary.
The festival aimed to revive authentic Iraqi heritage, strengthen the cultural identity of society, and connect younger generations with their historical roots, while introducing youth to the values and traditions that shape their cultural legacy.
The event featured a variety of activities, including poetry recitations, exhibitions of traditional tools and historical photographs, as well as cultural competitions. Certificates of appreciation were also distributed to participants in recognition of their involvement and to promote engagement and interaction among attendees.
